This course represents a cross-field analysis by integrating theories and findings from the sociology of gender and sociology of family.  Issues include gender inequality in the workplace, dual-career family, changing role of women in family, women non-paid household work. Students are advised to complete SOCG001 Understanding Societies before enrolling for this course.
